Grown wild in Ecuador's volcanic soil, never farmed and never roasted. This is heirloom cacao at its most natural, ground into a rich powder true to how cacao was always meant to be enjoyed.
Most commercial cacao comes from cloned varieties, genetically identical batch after batch. Ours grows wild, across a genetically diverse population of heirloom trees. That diversity is a big reason it holds up against mold and mycotoxins where a monoculture struggles. It's mycotoxin-free.
Stir it into hot chocolate, blend it into a smoothie, or bake it into something sweet. However you use it, you're getting the same wild, heirloom cacao in every scoop.
How are the beans processed?
Our beans are stone-ground into a rich paste, pressed into cacao cake, then ground and sifted into a fine powder. Skipping the roast preserves more of the bean's natural character, nutrients, and flavor compounds intact.
Where does the cacao come from?
Wild-harvested heirloom cacao grown in Ecuador's mineral-rich volcanic soil, not farmed on a plantation. It comes from a genetically diverse population of trees rather than a single cloned variety, which shapes its distinct flavor.
Is it tested for contaminants?
Yes. Every batch is third-party tested for 19 different mycotoxins and comes back mycotoxin-free, plus tested for heavy metals. Very few cacao brands talk about mycotoxin testing at all, so we think it's worth being upfront about.
Is it vegan, paleo, and gluten-free?
Yes to all three, and it's sugar-free too. There's nothing added, no fillers, no sweeteners, no additives, just cacao that's been stone-ground and pressed. It fits easily into keto, paleo, or vegan diets.
Will it clump or dissolve easily?
It won't clump, and there's no grit, since it's ground into an extremely fine powder. But nothing's added to help it dissolve, and it's not Dutch-processed, so a slow spoon stir won't fully mix it in. A frother or blender gets it smooth.
